About Kelly Morgan
Early in her career, Kelly worked as an advertising executive. When she sold the creative services of illustrators, designers, copywriters, photographers and other commercial artists to Fortune 500 companies and advertising agencies, she told the artists that she represented “you’re the creative one, not me.”
One day she realized something was missing from her life and decided to explore her artistic side. She started writing and performing poetry. (To see Kelly's journals of poems and drawings, go to: www.KellyMorganPoetry.com.)
Developing her creative side eventually opened up a new career: as a teacher and small business owner. For fifteen years she has facilitated the The Artist's Way, Improvisational Writing and other creativity workshops in Los Angeles. She also taught Creativity Camps in Taos and Vancouver. (To learn more about her other programs or to read her story, go to: www.CreativeLife.com.)
"This is a career that I love," Kelly said. "I spend my days doing things I care about and encourage others to do the same. What could be better than that?" In recent years, Kelly's interests have expanded to include: EATING AND EXERCISING FOR CREATIVITY. Shape Up Your Creativity, Make Art Not Fat and other programs that combine her interest in creativity with nutrition, dance, exercise. She has discovered that physical well-being lessens jealousy, perfectionism, procrastination, excessive self-criticism and allows anyone to get into their creativity zone.
